VIRAL TRANSPORT KITS
Inactivated virus sampling tube:
① The components of the culture medium of the inactivated sampling tube: Hank’s solution, cryoprotectant, biological buffer, amino acid, inactivator and RNA protector, which inactivate virus samples and protect RNA from degradation. A combination of multiple antibiotics is use in the culture medium to effectively prevent bacterial and fungal contamination.
② Thickening and anti-leakage design to ensure that the sample does not leak and comply with WHO regulations and biosafety regulations.
③Usage: Used for collection and transportation of virus specimens such as 2019-nCoV, new crown virus, coronavirus, influenza virus, avian influenza, hand, foot and mouth, measles, and mycoplasma, chlamydia, and ureaplasma.
④. Note: If the collected samples are used for virus nucleic acid detection, nucleic acid extraction kits and nucleic acid detection reagents must be use together; if they are used for virus isolation purposes, cell culture media must be used together.
⑤ How to use:
♠ Before sampling, indicate the sample information on the label;
♠According to different experimental purposes, use sampling swabs to sample at corresponding parts;
♠ After sampling, quickly put the swab into the sampling tube containing the virus transport medium,
break it at the breaking point, and tighten the tube cap;
♠ Freshly collected specimens with inactivated sampling tubes can be transported to the laboratory within 7 days under normal temperature (5-25°C) conditions.
Ice packs will be more effective during transportation. For samples used for nucleic acid detection, the detection effect is better within 24 hours.
The specific sampling method is as follows:
A) Nasal swab: Gently insert the swab head into the nasal palate in the nasal passage, stay for a while and then slowly turn to exit.
Swab the other nostril with another swab, immerse the swab head in the sampling solution, break it at the breaking point, and discard it.

B) Pharyngeal swab: Use the swab to wipe the bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and posterior wall of the pharynx, and immerse the swab head in the sampling solution and discard.
