CHG Skin Prep Swab Applicator

CHG is a fast-acting, broad spectrum, persistent antiseptic that significantly reduces the number of

microorganisms on intact skin. Our CHG Prepping Products with formulation of 2% Chlorhexidine

Gluconate (CHG) & 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) patient preoperative skin preparation, which meet FDA,

kills more bacteria than traditional iodophors or alcohol.

Product Advantages

①, compared with the traditional disinfection method, the applicator is more rapid, can resist the majority of bacteria disinfection drugs and more durable bactericidal effect, greatly reducing the skin microbes, effectively reducing the rate of infection due to bleeding.
②, the applicator contains CHG and IPA components, CHG has a sustained antibacterial function, because it can destroy the bacterial cell membrane, so that it can be separated into precipitable substances, IPA can quickly destroy the microbial cell proteins so that the denaturation, to provide an important defence against most of the microorganisms, antibacterial for at least 48 hours.
Contraindications and Precautions

This product is a single-use medical product and is intended for single use only;
The product cannot be used directly if the inner package is damaged;
Please use up as soon as possible after opening the package to avoid contamination. Destroy or dispose of in a professional disposal box immediately after use;
Use with caution for infants and young children aged 2 months or premature babies. This product may cause skin irritation or burns to infants and young children.
This is a single-use product and should be discarded immediately after use;
Not to be used for lumbar puncture or meningeal surgery;
Not for use on open wounds or for routine skin cleansing;
Not to be used on patients allergic to CHG or IPA;
Not for use on eyes, ears or cavities.

The applicator consists of a sponge head and a swabbing rod and can be used for pre-surgical skin antiseptic treatment.
