Nasopharyngeal Flocked Swab

A nasopharyngeal flocked swab is a medical device used to collect samples of secretions from the nasopharynx.

Composition: It mainly consists of a swab stick and a flocked swab head. The swab stick is usually made of a polymer material, and the flocked swab head has extremely fine villi fixed to it through a special process.

Characteristics:

1. Efficient collection: The villi of the flocked swab head can better adsorb and collect samples.
2. High comfort: Relatively soft, reducing irritation and damage to the nasopharynx.
3. Good release: It can effectively release the samples from the swab head.

Usage method:

1. Before sampling, clean your hands first.
2. Have the person being sampled slightly tilt their head back, gently insert the swab into the nose, and slowly go deep into the nasopharynx along the bottom of the nose.
3. Gently rotate the swab a few times to fully collect the sample.
4. Slowly remove the swab and place it in an appropriate preservation solution.
