I. Medical Testing Field

1. Infectious Disease Detection
   • For some infectious diseases transmitted through saliva, such as the novel coronavirus, influenza virus, Epstein – Barr virus, mumps virus, etc., the saliva swab collection kit can conveniently obtain samples for testing. For example, during the COVID – 19 pandemic, saliva swab collection, as a non – invasive sampling method, was used for large – scale screening. Compared with nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swabs, saliva sampling is more acceptable to some people, which helps improve the compliance of testing. By detecting the viral nucleic acid in saliva, infected individuals can be identified in a timely manner, playing a crucial role in controlling the spread of infectious diseases.
   • For some sexually transmitted diseases, such as herpes simplex virus infection, the saliva swab collection kit can also be used for detection. Because during the oral mucosal lesions or asymptomatic virus – shedding stage, the virus may be present in saliva. 2. Genetic Testing
