HCY Feline calicivirus (FCV) Real-time PCR Detection Kit

【Intended use】

The Feline calicivirus Real-time PCR Detection Kit adopts fluorescent probe method by specific primers

and Taqman probes to detect Feline calicivirus in oral swabs, conjunctival swabs, nasal swabs, blood,

organs samples through fluorescence quantitative PCR.

This kit uses the RPS7 gene of cats as the internal reference gene. The RPS7 gene is detected to

ensure that no false-negative results will be produced in the process of sampling, sample purification

and sample detection.

Features

1. Sensitivity and Specificity

The kit was compared with similar commercially available products and a total of 127 real clinical

samples were tested, of which the sensitivity was 100% and the specificity 98.06%.

2. The primers were designed with special bases to reduce the risk of missed detections due to genetic

mutations.

Experiments have verified that the kit didn’t cross-react with Bartonella, Borrelia Burgdorferi,

Toxoplasmosis, Leptospira, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Feline coronavirus, Feline herpesvirus, Feline

Parvovirus, Chlamydia felis, Mycoplasma haemofelis, Candidatus Mycoplasma haemominutum and

Candidatus Mycoplasma turicensis, Canine parainfluenza Virus, Canine Coronavirus, Canine

Herpesvirus, Canine Distempervirus, and Canine Parvovirus, etc.

3. Using prepackaged freeze-dried microspheres technology, transportation and storage at room

temperature;

4. Ready to use after opening the lid, There is no need to prepare aliquot of reagents in advance,

making it more convenient to use.

5. Minimum detection limit is 20 copies/Test.

Using real clinical samples, the assay was performed after serial gradient dilution, and the results

showed good linear characteristics and the calculated copy number was as low as 20 copies/Test, and

the calculation of the experimental data set gave R2=0.998 and the amplification efficiency E=93.727%.
