Babesia canis antibody test reagent product introduction

Babesia canis antibody test reagent is used for the detection of Babesia canis antibody in canine whole blood or serum, for the screening of Babesia canis infection, auxiliary diagnosis and so on.
Canine Babesiosis is a bloodborne protozoan disease transmitted by hard ticks, caused by parasitism of Babesia gibbosus, and clinical symptoms such as high fever, jaundice, respiratory distress and anemia and emaciation can be seen. There are three main pathogens of the disease, namely Babesia canis, Babesia gilbertii and Babesia weissei, with Babesia gilbertii (Babesia microti) being the main cause of the disease in China. Babesia gilsonii is a microorganism of the family Babesiaceae and the genus Babesia, with a variety of morphologies, with typical bodies in the form of dots, arches or rods. Babesia gibelii is primarily parasitized in the erythrocytes of the host, and can be transmitted either by eggs or by metamorphic stages. Healthy dogs are infected with babesiosis ticks bite and suck blood and spread the pathogen caused by canine babesiosis, the distribution of the disease and the onset of the season is often closely related to the distribution of ticks and the season of activity.
[Principle of reaction

Canine Babesia canis antibody test kit adopts rapid immunochromatographic technique to detect Canine Babesia canis antibody in canine whole blood or serum. After dropping the diluted sample into the spiked well, if BG antibody is present in the sample, it will specifically bind to the colloidal gold-labeled recombinant protein, forming a complex that moves together along the chromatographic membrane and is captured by the BG antigen encapsulated on the membrane, which shows a burgundy line on the detection line (T). If there is no BG antibody in the sample, no visible line will form at the T position. This C line should be colored regardless of negative or positive results, otherwise the result is judged invalid.

How to use Canine Babesia gibbosus antibody detection kit

[Sample requirements

This kit is only suitable for testing canine whole blood or serum samples.
The test sample is collected fresh and put into the dilution solution immediately, and the diluted sample should be tested as soon as possible within 1 hour.
If the sample can not be detected in time, it can be stored at 2-8℃ for 24 hours and -20℃ for 1 month.
[Detection method

Before use, it is necessary to return the test card and dilution solution to room temperature and read the instructions of the kit carefully.
Use canine whole blood samples, let it stand for 30 minutes to analyze or centrifuged to separate out serum and plasma for spare.
Tear open the foil pouch of the test card, remove the test card and place it on a flat, clean countertop.
Using a pipette, add 2 drops of whole blood or serum to the sample well, then add 1 drop of diluent to start the timer and wait for results.
Wait 10-15 minutes at room temperature for the test result to be read; results after 20 minutes are invalid.
Note: The reading time is performed at room temperature 15-30°C. If the temperature is lower than 15°C, the reading time should be extended appropriately; if the temperature is higher than 30°C, the reading time should be shortened appropriately.
