Canine Influenza Virus (CIV) belongs to the family Orthomyxoviridae, genus Influenza A virus, mainly including two subtypes. The virus is characterized by rapid spread, wide transmission routes, strong infectiousness and obvious symptoms. The target of disease is mainly the epithelial cells of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract, and rarely occurs in the gastrointestinal. The main manifestations of fever, cough, runny nose, sometimes can also lead to high fever and cause rhinitis, bronchitis, respiratory hemorrhage and other symptoms, severe disease dogs may also have interstitial pneumonia. This kit is used to detect canine influenza virus antigen in canine eye secretion, nasal fluid and saliva. Reaction Principle
Rapid immunochromatographic detection of canine influenza virus antigen. A sample of ocular secretion, nasal fluid, or saliva is added to the spiked well and then moved along the chromatographic membrane with a colloidal gold-labeled anti-CIV monoclonal antibody. If CIV antigen is present in the sample, it binds to the antibody on the detection line and appears in burgundy color. If CIV antigen is not present in the sample, no color reaction occurs.
How to use Canine Influenza Virus Antigen Test Reagent
Sample requirements
This kit is only suitable for testing canine ocular secretion, nasal fluid and saliva samples. The test sample is collected fresh and put into the dilution solution immediately, and the diluted sample should be tested as soon as possible within 1 hour. If it can not be detected in time, the diluted sample can be stored at 2-8℃ for 24 hours and -20℃ for 1 month. Detection method
Use disposable swabs to collect samples of canine eye secretion, nasal fluid and saliva. After collection, put the samples into the diluted solution and stir, let it rest for 1min, take out the swabs, tighten the cap and mix it upside down. Tear open the aluminum foil pouch of the test card, take out the test card, and put it on a flat, clean countertop. Pipette 3 drops (approx. 80 μl) of the diluted sample into the spiked hole of the test card and wait for the result. Wait 10-15 minutes at room temperature for the test result to be read, the result is invalid after more than 20 minutes. Note: The above reading time is carried out at room temperature 15-30℃, if the temperature is lower than 15℃, the reading time should be extended appropriately; if the temperature is higher than 30℃, the reading time should be shortened appropriately.
