How to use the biological sample collection card

How to use the biological sample collection card Before looking at how to use it, let’s first understand its principle and composition.

Principle of Inspection

The biological sample collection card is not only a special filter paper, but also a patent formula impregnated with a strong denaturant and a chelating agent.

The fibrous matrix contains special chemical substances, which automatically tear them when they are capture and combine with nucleic acids to maintain the integrity of the DNA in the sample,

It not only protects nucleic acids from degradation, but also protects them from nucleases, oxidants and ultraviolet rays.

It can also prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms.

Main components

It is compose of information card and collection filter paper.

How to use blood collection:

1.First, take out the alcohol cotton pad to disinfect the blood collection site.

2.Then   Puncture the blood collection site with a blood collection needle,

and directly use the sample collection card to drip the peripheral blood into the circle or grid.

3.After blood collection, use a hemostatic cotton to stop the bleeding.

4.On-site or corpse blood can be flatten on the sample collection card with a needle,

or the blood can be evenly spread on the biological sample collection card with a swab.

5.After sampling, the sample should be naturally cool and dry, and store it after it is completely dry.

Saliva collection and use method

1.Tear the outer packaging and take out the swab.

2.Hold the swab in your mouth for 3-5 seconds to make it fully absorb saliva.

3.Press the swab into the circle or grid of the sample collection card to make the sample collection card

4.After sampling, the sample should be naturally cool and dry, and store it after it is completely dry.

Precautions

When storing the biological sample collection card, avoid sun exposure, hot baking, ultraviolet radiation, formalin or other organic solvents and other liquid pollution and human-derived DNA pollution.
