Canine and Cat Early Pregnancy Test Kit is used to detect the level of Relaxin in whole blood or serum of canine and cat, for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of early pregnancy in canine and cat. Relaxin is a polypeptide hormone synthesized and secreted by the corpus luteum and the placenta during pregnancy, which gradually increases with the growth of gestation and rapidly decreases after delivery, and is a marker of early pregnancy in dogs and cats. Relaxin is a water-soluble polypeptide hormone consisting of two polypeptide chains connected by a disulfide bond, which can participate in the depolymerization of mucopolysaccharides sulfate in vivo, and thus has a role in follicular development and ovulation, mammary gland growth during pregnancy, fetal attachment, and initiation of labor. Because relaxin is highly variable in individual dogs and cats, early testing may result in negative results when serum relaxin is too low. If the test result is negative, it is recommended to repeat the test after 1 week.
[Reaction Principle
The Canine and Feline Early Pregnancy Test Kit is a rapid immunochromatographic technique for the detection of relaxin levels in whole blood or serum of dogs and cats. After dropping the diluted sample into the spiked well, if RLN is present in the sample, it will specifically bind to the colloidal gold-labeled recombinant protein, forming a complex that moves together along the chromatographic membrane and is captured by the antibody encapsulated on the membrane, displaying a burgundy line on the detection line (T). If there is no RLN in the sample, no visible line will form at the T position. This C line should be colored regardless of negative or positive results, otherwise the result is judged invalid.
How to use Early Pregnancy Test Kit for Dogs and Cats
[Sample Requirements
This kit is only suitable for testing whole blood or serum samples from dogs and cats.
The test sample is collected fresh and put into the dilution solution immediately, and the diluted sample should be tested as soon as possible within 1 hour.
If the sample can not be tested in time, it can be stored at 2-8℃ for 24 hours and -20℃ for 1 month.
[Detection method
Before use, it is necessary to return the test card and dilution solution to room temperature and read the instructions of the kit carefully.
Use whole blood samples of dogs and cats, and let it stand for 30 minutes to analyze or centrifuge to separate the serum for spare.
Tear open the foil pouch of the test card, take out the test card, and place it on a flat, clean countertop.
Using a pipette, add 2 drops of whole blood or serum to the sample well, then add 1 drop of diluent, start the timer and wait for results.
Wait 10-15 minutes at room temperature for the test result to be read; test results after 20 minutes are invalid.
Note: The reading time is performed at room temperature 15-30°C. If the temperature is lower than 15°C, the reading time should be extended appropriately; if the temperature is higher than 30°C, the reading time should be shortened appropriately.
